2015: Group Endorses Atiku For President




A Southeast based political pressure group, the Turaki East Alliance (TEA), has endorsed former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar as Nigeria’s president in 2015.

The group which has over 100,000 members called on Nigerians to support Atiku for president as it would solve theleadership challenges confronting the nation, adding that he is a detribalized Nigerian who should be supported for the interest of the much desired Igbo presidency.

According to the national Coordinator of TEA, Comrade Peter Akubuo, the action of the group was influenced by the selfless need to draft a progressive democrat into the Presidential race to salvage the nation’s democracy and also Atiku's judicious contributions to the promotion of unity and religious tolerance in the country.

Akubuo explained that Atiku was different from other aspirants because of his credibility and steadfastness and he has been in the forefront of rotational presidency in the country.

Akubuo disclosed that the group after their general meeting held at the weekend in Owerri, the Imo state capital, appealed to Atiku to join the presidential race without further delay, and they have already commenced a door to door sensitization of Ndigbo on the need to support the Atiku Agenda.

Meanwhile, the Presidential campaign posters of the former Vice President yesterday flooded strategic locations in the Southeast states.
