2015:Ladoja endorsed as Accord Party governorship candidate

Oyo South Senatorial District of the Accord Party has endorsed the national leader of the party and former governor of the state, Rashidi Ladoja, as the party’s gubernatorial candidate in the 2015 governorship election in the state.
This was contained in the communique signed by Adeyinka Adeniyi and Nureni Aderemi Adeniran, the state Deputy Chairman and the Senatorial Chairman and Publicity Secretary respectively and made available to journalists in Ibadan on Friday.
After a meeting attended by 12 notable party chieftains and other representatives from the nine local government areas that constitute the district, participants said: “It is only through Senator Ladoja and his party that hope and joy in the lives of the people can be restored.”
Saying that the present administration under Governor Abiola Ajimobi has unleashed poverty and hunger on the people through its various cosmetic programmes and elitist policies, the party called on the electorate to be patient and resolute in their determination to effect a positive change in the state.
“We resolved that our members should embrace peace and orderliness in their conduct both within and outside the party because the party would not condone any act of indiscipline, having the assurances that the present darkness would soon give way to a brighter dawn,” the communique said.
The party congratulated all the past and present defectors to the party as well members and urged them to continue their support and loyalty to Accord Party, because, “it is the only party that can take the state out of the present woes imposed on it by the poor administrative style of the All Progressives Congress (APC) under Senator Abiola Ajimobi.”
The party assured the defectors that they had equal opportunities and privileges in the party just as it called on them to remain steadfast and committed to the ideals of Accord Party.
