A businessman resident in Abuja got more than he bargained for when he visited the state of Benue and decided to patronize a sex worker.
Gabriel Oforma told the police that he had been assaulted and injured in Makurdi, the state capital, by Blessing Victor, Martha Joseph, Sonia Okafor, Esther Sunday, Grace John, Angela Aja and Princess Ojo, who are believed to be prostitutes.
The sex workers were said to have pounced on Mr. Oforma and beaten him up after he had sex with one of them and refused to pay.
The suspects, along with some unidentified male accomplices who are currently at large, also allegedly stabbed the victim and robbed him of his cell phone and N34,000 in cash.
Blessing Victor, whom Oforma supposedly had intercourse with, said:
“My only sin is that I charged the complainant N3,000 to have sexual intercourse with me for the whole night. After we were through, he refused to pay me and when I complained, he said I stole his money.”
The suspects are facing charges of criminal conspiracy, causing hurt and theft.
The case has been adjourned till May 7.
