Police Arrest Four Cultists In Enugu

The Igboeze North police division of Enugu State Police Command has arrested four persons suspected to be cult members at Umuogbo-Ulo village.
This is contaned in a statement from the commands Public Relations Officer, Mr Ebere Amaraizu in Enugu.
It stated that the suspects who hailed from the village, had admitted to being members of a cult fraternity known as Yellow Axe.

“They were nabbed by security operatives on March 5 following a tip off received by the operatives that some suspected hoodlums were holding a meeting in a nearby bush at Umuogbo-ulo in Igboeze North,” he said.
The spokesman also said that the police had commenced investigation to ascertain the level of the suspects’ nefarious activities within the area.
In another development, the counter terrorism unit of the command has nabbed one Sunday Agbo on March 9 for allegedly snatching a motorcycle.
Agbo, who hailed from Enugu East Local Government Area, was alleged to have snatched the motorcycle belonging to one Mr Ekene Attama of Opi at Ugwuogo-Nike on March 7 at gun point.
The police have also nabbed two suspects in connection with a suicide incident which occurred on March 10 at Ofulonu Nsukka.
The statement said the suspects, a man and his son, were arrested in connection with the alleged suicide committed by one Chiemerie Asadu, an eight-year-old, who was said to have hanged herself in a bathroom.
